The Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) is a not-for-profit non-government voluntary organization constituted in the year 1975 and registered in 1985 under the Societies Registration Act. DAN is an organ of the Catholic Church in Nagaland for carrying out the developmental initiatives of the Catholic Church in the state of Nagaland. The Association works in partnership with the various church institutions, Government Departments, NGOs and civil society organizations and reaches out to the communities identifying, assessing and intervening in priorities in the field of education, employment, livelihoods, health and empowerment of vulnerable sections of society. DAN engages with the communities for its integral development through a process of planning, resource mobilization, implementation and evaluation for focused programmes and interventions.

Geographical Coverage (Nagaland Map with districts)

The organization reaches out to 11 districts in the state of Nagaland with its key interventions. Over 100 Catholic centers spread across these districts even in the remotest of villages; are the local facilitating centres for the initiatives of the Development Association of Nagaland. The organization draws its strength from the network of local community organizations, NGOs and volunteers.
